Hey, friends! It’s been a while since my last post, so I thought, why not reconnect and reintroduce myself? Over the years, I've shared a few updates here and there, but this post feels different—it’s the start of a new chapter, one where I want to dive deeper into our farm's story, our practices, and our love for good food and community.
For those of you who are new or need a refresher, I’m Angela and my husband Alan and I are the heart, hands, and sometimes very muddy boots behind Rabbit Ridge Farms. Our farm isn’t just a place where animals roam and crops grow—it’s our passion, a commitment to raising food sustainably and transparently. When I talk about transparency, I mean it; we love sharing the journey of our food, from the pastures, forests, and fields to your table.
At Rabbit Ridge, our motto is “Creating Community through Agriculture and Food.” We want you to feel good about the food you’re putting on your plate, knowing it comes from a place of care, integrity, and respect for the land and animals. We’re here to reconnect you with where your food comes from—because that connection matters.
After three blog posts over the past seven years (yes, just three!), you might be wondering, “Why now?” The truth is, farming is a busy, nonstop life, but there’s so much I want to share with you—the joys, challenges, and everything in between. This blog is my way of bringing you along for the ride, giving you a front-row seat to life on the farm, and letting you see what goes into every meal we produce.
So, here’s the plan: I’m going to be sharing more regularly, whether it’s recipes, tips on using different cuts of meat, or insights into our regenerative practices. You’ll get to know our animals, learn how we manage the land, and (hopefully!) gain a deeper appreciation for what’s on your plate. I’ll also keep you posted on events and maybe even a few new festivals we’re planning to bring our community together.
Whether you’re here to pick up a new recipe, learn a bit about farming, or just enjoy some behind-the-scenes stories, I’m so glad to have you along. Here’s to new beginnings, familiar friends, and a shared love for food and agriculture that connects us all.
Thanks for being here!
Angela
